We meet Forrest Gump when he is sitts on a bench in the park and tells casual listeners the story of his life. He was born as a little retarded, infantile boy with leg paresis. Thanks to the hard work and the support of his mother he was able to overcome the weakness, and even become a great runner. Chain of events leads Forrest to appears on the most important events of his times - he fought in Vietnam, met presidents, took part in the anti-war protests, gained wealth. There is also, of course, and the love story - Jenny, whom he loved from his school days.
It’s hard to describe the beauty of this film, great Tom Hanks as Forrest, the whole optimistic message about the possibility of reaching any goal, if you really want to, which is up to date at all times. In addition, the films is original because the main character is not beautiful, nor smart, he has almost none of the attributes of typical hero. Except one - he has a big heart, he is natural and always optimistic. Even if something went wrong soon the thing will get better. This film does not need praise or recommendation.
