1930s in one of the southern states of the USA. Atticus Finch is a public defender chosen to defend black man accused of raping a white woman. But contrary to the expectations of the community he is going to defend the client with all his skills and experience. Atticus is a single father of two children, who themselves see the racial problems around them. The children, along with a neighborhood friend, became the main characters of this story...

The novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by American writer Harper Lee was released in 1960 and became an international bestseller, Harper received a Pulitzer Prize. The film is well made, for the lead role in the film Gregory Peck won an Oscar, the film itself also received 2 Oscars.
