Polish film director and screenwriter. Before World War II completed the most expensive Polish movie battle Fri Starry squadron. He made the first post-World War II full-length feature film - Forbidden Songs (1947). He was director of the first Polish post-war comedy - Treasure (1949). In 1954, he directed the first Polish film colorful Adventure in Warsaw. He has also, among others, war drama The Eagle (1959) and the film Youngster (1963). Other films: Maria and Napoleon, Interrupt Flight, Time past, The white negro, Florian, Baltic Rhapsody.
He was married to actress Barbara Orwid.
