Polish actor and educator. Best known for Promised Land (1974), Schindler’s List (1993), The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler (2009), Manhunt (2012). During the war he fought with the partisans. In movies stocked mostly in supporting roles as a characteristic (Jews, the Gestapo). He has received many national awards, among others, Partisan Cross (1964), Gold Cross of Merit (1979), Gold Medal "Gloria Artis".
