Solomon Joel Cohen - born 8 May 1913 in Johannesburg, died 26 April 1976 - South African actor of Jewish origin, popular mainly in the UK, where he lived and worked from 1946 until his death. In his youth, he took up various jobs: a diamond engraver, hairdresser, dance instructor, he also took part in competitive boxing. During World War II he joined the army ZPA, officers received cuts and was taken to a branch composed of artists in uniform, designed to provide soldiers fighting entertainment. Best known for Bless This House, Hancock’s Half Hour, Citizen James, The Lavender Hill Mob.

	Henry Holland, a bank clerk, after 20 years of dealing with the transport of gold bullion, decides to take one of the cargoes for himself and smuggle the gold into France. A brilliant plan goes well... almost to the end.

	One of the longest ever series of comedy films and parodies made by great set of actors. Each of the films is different story and different set of characters, but the light atmosphere and the dialogues filled with innuendos are the trademarks of Carry On series.
