James Smith, born 15 August 1935 in Rothwell - British actor, singer and songwriter.
Known for eleven films in the series Carry on..., and the role of the narrator in the TV
series Pushing Daisies. Others: Thank Your Lucky, Pete’s Dragon, Follow the Camel. He was nominated for five Tony Awards, the most important awards in the world of commercial
American theater. He received it once, in 1980 for her role in the musical Barnum. In the U.S., Dale has achieved the greatest popularity and commercial success as an actor
reading audiobooks from all parts of the Harry Potter series. In 2003 received the Order of the British Empire for his services to British children’s literature.
